im lookin to buy a 300zx

 

im only 21 so i have to watch the insurance but basicly here are my insurance quotes so far

(for a 92 spec)

 

300zx non-turbo (uk manual) £1085

300zx turbo (uk manul) £1100 (can u get single turb or do they mean twin?)

300zx twin turbo (import) £2152

 

is it worth me paying all that extra money for the import twin turbo or will a non turbo or a single tubo b fast still ......what bhp`s are they so i can compair ?? anything i should look out 4 or avoid when buying a car like this ... thanx

There's loads to learn but if you stay on here for a short while and do a few searches you'll be an expert in no time! Standard bhp is 280 for auto and 300 for manual.

Hi mate, try Heritage classic insurance, they didn't seem to care mine was an imported twin turbo, i was gettin quotes similar to yours, then these done mine for £397.50, 3 points and no NCB, seriously good they are ;)

All non-turbo 300ZX are imports.

 

Ther single turbo was the older model 300ZX - the Z31. Most of the cars on this site are Z32.

 

Do lots of research, ask lots of questions and find a nice car.

ill stick around for shure i spend most my life moddin car and when im not doin that im on http://www.streetrace.co.uk and now here :) what the bhp of a non turbo ?? and do they make a single turbo ?? thanks chewie btw

Non turbo is about 222bhp.

 

No single turbo Z32, only Z31 (mid 80s model).

this was my last car (civic 92)n im gonna make the 300zx into a showcar too but im not puttin metal flake on this tho as its doesnt suit the look of these cars. i want to keep the smooth sleek look there on the z
