I've bought one of my mates TomTom classic go units and want to upgrade the software. I can download it and install it on to the tomtom but it asks me for a product code. My mate didn't keep the original CD's where this code is found. Has anyone any idea how I can get round this??

When you buy a new one you get the card with it, Its about the size of a credit card.I have no idea if you can get a replacement

If you know someone else who have the same model you could ask him/her to share theirs, I'm not sure if it works as it depends on the code is invidual to each unit.. but you could give it a try (If somone is willing to share their code :) )

The codes are individual to each unit and if you put the wrong one in then a screen comes up stating this and you need to then contact Tom tom.
