Took it out today down a local launch pad, had a really good laugh all I can say is Mac get a boat there was 14 of us so we took turns of 30mins for 7 of us I had a boat full of birds because no one would ride with my mate, as he is a bit of a loon!  managed 55mph 7up in the boat and manage to rince 3 other boats out on the water. :duffer: Took the boat past the pier an mooned a few people too :smash:

only had a throw away camera as soon as they are developed I'll scan them and post up

with windermere being a no no now for speeding and not wanting to tow a bloody big boat anywhere seadoo is now looking like an option for me even.........whats the pitfalls with them ie do you have to replace impellors often service costs per year and what am i going to pay second hand wise for one

Yes I heard that last week, when did this all come in? No Speed boats on Widermere :headvswal

you can put them on no problem m8 but the speed restrictions that came in in april make it daft to put your boat in at windermere....dont get me wrong you can still have a very good day up there and bend the rules a little but you can be done for speeding on the water and incur hefty fines....looked at a few today sqm marine sales and although you wont get the big boat feel the seadoo's are nice and hefty and comfortable easily for 2 peeps and a damm sight cheaper in juice and running costs from what i could gather but that was a sales rep talking so could do with real info from peeps who have one

We use to have our formula on Windermere untill this year with the ban now in place :mac1: :xxx:

Its for sale at Liverpool power boats if anyones interested,

Its a 1991 Formula 223ls (Actually 24foot with bathing platform)

Has a Mercury Magnum 454 cubic inch block, 7.4 litre V8, 375bhp.

Full leather seats, carpets, dashboard with loads of gages, uprated Kenwood stereo with speakers, sleeps 3 and has lights in the cabin with a tiolet. Will do 70mph with the trim set right and going into the wind. We had 60 on Winderemere against a friends seadoo jetboat, which blew its engine a week later :nelson:

Also at full throttle £200 of petrol goes in 2 hours :hyper:
