The local authority here - in partnership with that wonderful body TFL - are redesigning a major junction near where I live......

 

Every day I drive past and witness at least SIX 'workers' standing around looking at their shovels or on their f***ing mobiles - probably placing a few bets on the gee-gees !!

 

It's symbolic of what has gone wrong with this f***ing place !!! You and I are paying for these lazy c*nts to stand there getting a tan !!

 

The trouble is when it's public money going into something then there is no need to worry about time/costs etc. Honestly someone needs to get this place by the scruff of the neck and shake the sh*t out of it !!!

 

Of course if you ask for details of the contract under which these robbers are working or how much it's costing or even when they 'guess' they might finish it all you are told is that it's confidential FFS !!!!

 

And the cherry on the cake is that the junction worked PERFECTLY before they started to mess with it !!

Cant take your frustrations out on the workers mate? If you had the chance to take a break then I should imagine you would?

I work on the railways (on track) and I have had people say to me "every time I pass you lot on the train you are standing by the side of the track talking and doing nothing".

 

Of course they dont realize. If we carried on working we would get run down by the fookin train you're on????????

We have restructureing work starting on the NCR. A406. It will cover less than half a mile and will take in four sets of lights. All four sets work perfectly.This is going to take at least twelve months and screw the trafic like mad. Do we the people have no say in any of this madness?

ooooooooh got stuck on 25 took 4 and half hours to get fromt he top of reigate hill to the bottom !!!!! ever since then any other traffic jam just doesnt seem to bother me

My lady got stuck in that bitch after an accident, took her over eight hours to get home, thta's after she had just heard her Dad had a heart attack and she needed to get home .. normally takes 3 hours max ... :-(

but what wasnt nice was the 3 ft sq blamkets covering up the bits of the bloke on the bike the 206 was shortened by 3 foot at the back at rear screen height (hit by truck) but the biker didnt stand a chance not nice it probably wasnt even his fault

Confidential?? They don't know what they're talking about. Give the local council office a ring and ask them instead - if they give you the same line, throw the phrase "freedom of information act" around and see what happens :)

traffic lights. In Ipswich there are loads of roundabouts smothered in lights - once upon a time people were allowed to drive around roundabouts. Now we have to stop every 10 metres. I'm a grown man, I can drive round roundabouts without the aid of a traffic light. Drives me bonkers... to say the least.

 

Rant away - it's good for you - and we should do more of it, after all who decides these things and why. Also where do they live...

The loonies are running the madhouse. At one time it was the unions that brought the country to a halt, now it's the little jobsworth hiding behind the Health & Safety banner.
