Why is it that when ever im driving or a passenger in someone elses car that it is always a woman or OAP that is in the right/overtaking lane doing a rediculous speed????????

 

Where i live i have to join a dual carriageway soon as i pull out of the drive, no sooner i am few hundred yards down the road and i have one of those dumb drivers straight away, the road is a 50mph limit and they doin 35-40mph in that right lane, i flash them, beep them but are completely oblivous of other road users in the end there is a tail of traffic in my rear view mirror which annoys me even more cos they drive up my ass like its my fault, if this dumb driver in front of me see a bird in the road or a fly come towards them then they are gonna put anchors on and this lot behind me ends up up my ass, in the end i have to undertake and shout them a few kind words. :mad: What about when they drive right beside a driver in the N/S lane doing same speed.......OH MY GOD. :headvswal

 

Many times i follow drivers cos have no bloody choice and have driven many miles and NOT ONCE have they looked in that rear view mirror, perfect examply the other day is a WOMAN pulled out in front of me as i drove past her car parked up, she must have had it on full lock and BANG my partners car written off, lucky wasn't my Z. How i didn't rip this womans head off i dont know..........another case of no mirrors being used.

 

So chaps next time you are stuck behind a Zombie driver look at the driver and 10 times out of 10 it will be a woman or OAP.......mostly woman tho.

Remove BOTH door mirrors that way you cant hit other drivers mirrors plus you dont use them anyway, but please do keep you rear view mirror at just the right angle for the plastering(makeup).

 

OAP's.......next time you go to drive stay indoors, waste of time writing this cos wont be able to read it anyway.

 

Please remove this thread if you like moderators as you may find it a bit too offensive at these idiots but at the end of the day i am only pointing out a fact of dangerous drivers.

 

Thats my rant over and would love to hear if anyone else is experiencing the same.

Well, to some extent I agree although I think pointing the finger at women and OAPs is probably just a wee bit unfair... well perhaps not so much the OAPs, a lot of them learned to drive when cars were a lot slower and the roads a lot emptier and they haven't really kept up with the pace of change. However the fact is that there are bad drivers out: lots of them, both men and women of all ages. They're a pain in the arse, they get in the way and their casual and unthinking negligence and incompetence can really get up my nose. E.g. those nice roundabouts with the lanes that spiral out from the centre to show you where you need to be to come off at a particular exit: how hard can it be to drive between the white lines? I mean really, how difficult can it actually be? If it can be done in a zed or a Ford Transit van how hard can it really be to pull off in a Fiat or a Rover (or whatever)?

 

However, I have learned over a period of some years (cos' I really did used to be Mr Road Rage) that you either (i) go with it and just drive with the assumption that every other road user is teetering on the brink of doing something really stupid, or (ii) die of a stress-induced heart attack. Seriously, I agree, there are plenty of people who probably shouldn't be allowed to drive, and the driving test should probably be significantly more difficult... and it would be nice if they could teach you something useful like how to park in a multi-storey carpark with narrow spaces and limited room for manuevre (I discovered my inability to do this shortly after getting my first car - no longer a problem I'm happy to say) ... and proper lane discipline come to that. But it's just not worth getting wound up about: you're gonna bust an artery.

More like bust their nose, yea suppose you are right but it has got so bad it is every time i go out, i understand to a point about the old gits but what are they so scarred of about that other lane.........use the dam thing thats what its for. As for woman they got no friggin excuse what so ever, good for kitchen and bedroom only..........my bird gonna slap me i think.

Iam constantly on the Road as i now drive for a living!! :D between the hour's of 9pm and 4am and it's not alway's Women Driver's at fault!! alot of them are men as well!! more like 55%women, 40%men the other 5% are gay so there you go....Just my 2 pence worth

ONE of my unhappier experiences was riding my ntv 600 up the london road in chelt,

time about 6.30pm sun just starting to set. I see a blue rinser creeping out of a junction. I slow right down thinkin shes gonna pull out on me but no she stops creeping so i start to accelerate not too fast caus ive got me girlfriend on the back.

I get to about 5 feet from where she is pulling out .....and she floors it BANG my misses is sliding down the road on her shoulder and head and im trapped between the bike and the road, the bike clips the kerb and im ejected from it along with my skin!

The girfriend is rushed to hospital with a fractured collar bone and i,m held back by the general public caus i,m about to rip the stupid cows head off. Anyway my insurance settle with hers or whatever they do caus all she managed was a dented side bumper and i later find out she has been given 6 points and a £300.00 fine caus three weeks previous to hitting me she hit a cyclist and put HIM in the hospital !!

 

Moral of the story: if you see your nan or grandad going for the car keys for fooks sake tell em you,ll drive !!!

I think a lot of this Women/old age drivers thing is going to get us no-where, because every statistic ever made :rolleyes: shows that young men cause almost every accident.

 

 

It's the times we live in. Frustration by one driver ,battling against the old laws and ways of the last 100 years of motoring is not going to have any impact on the present.

 

 

But maybe in the distant future , all laws will change completely.

hey guys/gals i have the answer for this little problem. having worked in the motor trade since i left school i have noticed the largest handycap that all women and OAP seem to subject themselves to..........

 

the drivers seat position

 

if only these people would dettach themselves from the steering wheel they would have room to use there arms and actually steer properly. i mean chewing on the steering wheel makes turning your head to see the mirrors difficult.

 

you guys/gals try it, when you in a car with either a woman or an oap and you feel your life is in danger just pull the seat adjuster and as they move towards the back seat they will realise what their arms are for and it will improve there driving.

 

can anyone remember the right guard advert with the "free you arms" slogan, yeah, well now you know why. there arms have been melded to there torso due to driving style. :D

This is EXACTLY what happened to me except that my Suzuki stopped about 2 inches off her car. A neighbour came running out and said "FFS get her off the road this time, she's a danger to everyone round here"!!! Luckily all I had was a grazed ass and a bent changer lever.

Something ive thought (and others ive spoke to) ....

 

Before being given a car licence you should all endure 2years on a motorbike on the roads.

You will soon realise that your arse is grass if your a careless fooker.

You learn to actually look further than that round thing they call a steering wheel and indicators are something that are actually quite functional.

Modern day cars remove this aspect of danger from them and cocoon them in a shell that there all to happy to relax in :nono:

 

Doin 500 miles a week has made me realise that its all forms of drivers that can be careless and ignorent whether it be a oap/women/white van drivers or the mondeao man.

 

Sit them on a flimsy bike with nowt to protect them and im sure theyd change their ways or get the fook off of the roads the dangerous feckers.

 

There was a close incident on the M25 this morning....

I was in the fast lane following a nice blade with a safe distance and some bloke in a fookin focus pulled in the gap and could of been no more than about 3metres from the bikers rear wheel.

If the biker had to stop he'd of been a gonner...

Erm... I think it's actually illegal to drive at all if you can't see properly and your vision can't be correctly to an acceptable level by glasses or contact lenses, or hasn't been corrected by surgery if you've suffered from cataracts or whatever.
