my dad took his car into the garage today coz his zed wasnt running right and the bloke said it was the oxigen sencers, what are they and how do we fix them.

o2 sensors. Two of them. They mount into the exhaust, just before the Cat's. I noticed your not far from Ztech (see traders forum section), who can supply for £60 each.

on the zorst, by the cat, senses the exhaust gasses and adjusts the fuelling via the ECU accordingly.

my dad my step mum and i have a zed, there not really into doing them up they just like having the power and think there anawsome car, he has had Zeds for about 6yrs now

dont pay more than an hours labour, they only screw in but have a long lead attached so need a crowfoot spanner, not a socket. they might just undo easy though.

No mate, it won't.

 

You need the O2 sensors otherwise your car will run like a bag of bolts at best! As I said to you on MSN about decatting, its not a good idea unless your dad wants to potentially face the expense of new tubs. Do a search and make your own mind up though. Loads on decatting. As I said though, you will need the O2's regardless.
