so what did you and your Z get up to today??

 

Me and my bucket spent the day overheating at random with me trying to put water back in faster than it was pissing out of the expansion bottle... grrrr. :headvswal

 

so a quick trip to harry halfords, got some flushing solution and the best coolant/antifreeze they had to offer and flushed the damn coolant system about five times until the water was crystal clear then filled her back up again... hose was out was roped in the rug rat and a neighbours lad to help wash her, at least if it overheats and im at the side of the road with the bonnet up and steam everywhere the car will not be dirty!! :D

 

(also too the plunge and removed all the mesh from the front of the car to see if that helps cooling at all... looks a bit ugly (can see all the oil coolers etc but its a compromise im willing to make) )

today had blitz sbc-id boost controller fitted and a nice oil change running @1 bar boost almost :D what a differance :rofl:

Today I fitted a new aero fuel cap as the last one was leaking! fitted Stillen HICAS eliminator bar and arms! Put all the diff oil cooler unit back in. New bushes in the antinroll bar then fitted that, put new hand brake shoes in, cleaned the disks up. Spent about to hours monging due to a hangover and my day is done

Today, Barks did a heater matrix by-pass for me, I got the missus to hoover and wash me Z and i drank coffee and supervised all day :D

Spen the afternoon re-doing the stereo in the wifes 2',cos' when she started it up sounded like an air raid siren through the speakers!!

Fookin japs and their built-in amps! :slap: :D

fitted my apexi bovs, made some brackets and fitted my autobox oil cooler

Nope, stone cold sober, could spot it was a lemon from 50 miles away and when I got there the warning signs said 'walk away now'. That just made me want to buy it more, I think I just like the sense of achievement that comes from doing something myself. After working on it for while, its condition has been raised from 'shit state' to 'terrible'. With the parts I've ordered and plenty of elbow grease I think I can improve it to 'bad'.

Brave guy buying a lemon, mines a lemon and is gonna be a big ball of flames very soon. didnt go out to buy a lemon just ended up with one, gutted really as these are nice cars but mine has put me off em. gonna go back to my trusty porsche 944's as had no trouble with em.

got bout half way through changing water pump today - waitin for new sgp pulley and lots of silicone to finish the job nicely!, gonna spray the plastic engine covers while theyr off too.

 

fitted jwt chip today, gonna stick the boost jets, turbo timer and grounding kit in when i next go out and play, prob wont have chance till fri.

Took of the Azevs today an fitted me sticky16" KumhoV70As, put enough 97 octane petrol in to get me to the Pod tomorrow and just leave enough fuel in to run and get Back to Filling station in Wellingborough afterwards.Chucked in a bit of octane booster.Just a quick wash over and RainX the windows. AND... fitted Spinksy's Bling 300ZX cu uk sticker.(pity I only got one!) :cry: :cry:

Off to bed now as I got to get up early to get to the Pod for 9.00am!

Today I mostly bought some non-itchy trousers. Ohhh the relief.

I looked at my Zed... parts that is. :( And wonder when it's going to stop being so freakin' cold so I can get them all fitted in!
