Hi sorry if this has been done before or its on here somewhere, but looking for the standard power and torque for a '90 uk spec tt? Everywhere i look it seems to be different!

also have fitted a blitz induction kit and blue flame cat back exhaust - any guesses what i should be getting? 300-310bhp?

having it rolling roaded soon but might be chipped by then - just having an arguament with some mates?

Cheers peeps

Be lookin at closer to 285 BHP IIRC

Stock is either 280bhp or 300bhp - Lots of arguemnts on here about it, so best not bring that subject up again ;)

Torque : 283 ib/ft

Exhaust and Filter are likely to give you an extra 15 - 20

I woud say cat-back exhaust and induction is likely to give hardly any HP increase, perhaps 2-3?, however if you ramp the boost up a little, with those two things you have it will help more than the stock filter / zorst and you will get more benefit.

You really want a larger bore from manifold all the way to the back with no cats, that way it will spool much quicker and handle a boost increase better :) (and kill your turbo seals quicker but hey that's life)

I would seriously say with stock ECU and still having the cats on the car etc, the mods wont really make any more hp, you may be looking at stock bhp or a few over if your lucky. I can not see any car over 10 years old making exact factory output.

Stock output of a Z is 279.8 PS (276.0 bhp) (205.8 kW) @6400 rpm and 371.0 Nm (274 lbft) (37.8 kgm) @3600 rpm

I would bet on you getting around the 280bhp mark and around 270lb. No idea at the wheels tho, perhaps 240? I would guess between a 12-15% drivetrain / tranny loss.

Cheers

P.S, I was running 16psi, full larger bore stainless system from manifold back (no silencers or cats), ECU was chipped, Blitz induction.

I think if I would have had it on the rollers I would have been lucky to see 330 and very very lucky to see 340. At the wheels I would have always hoped for 300, but it would have been less.

Thanks peeps, thats answered a few questions - i had some people trying to tell me i should be getting 330+bhp, which i thought was excessive!!

got a jwt chip and boost jets to fit (may change for an avc-r later)and will prob get some figures after that, just trying to quosh(sp) some ideas being banded about by some very excitable friends!

With that setup up running higher boost and done right you should see around 320 @ fly I would say.

Looking in the Dyno Section (members area) of this forum - Exhaust, induction, Chip, boost, on a properly running car gives around 340- 350 at the fly.

Cool, bout what I thought I had, although I had no cats, and no pre cats, and a diff downpipes etc, mowgs has only a cat back remember, which I can't imagine the cats / pre cats would do the increase in pressure any good hence the 320 ish, but sure, full performance exhaust, propper set up and why not 350ish? :nana2:

chip

s/s zaust with decat

apexi inductiod

1mm mig tips 14 psi
