Turbo in RX7 tonight

Hi. Went over to Kroozing.com meeting in Llandudno tonight to see what would turn up. Someone from up north showed up in a heavily modded black J-Reg RX7. He carried out some amazingly accurate manouvres tbh. Here's a shot of his engine bay, note no AFM. Anyone know him or what sort of turbo this is? :D

    Believe it or not that actualy looks like a turbo off a merc sprinter, but it cant be can it????
