Scottish Meeting Apoligies !!!

To all the guys that attended the meet at Stirling, Scotland today!

Sorry for not turning up, especially to Omar, who I was supposed to meet in Airdrie.

I will keep this thread kinda short as I am in a foul mood and want to drink whisky !!

My Zed is lying back up my drive after getting ceremoniously dumped off a beaver tail by the AA !!

Everything all ready to go, even a new battery in the digi camera, £50 of Shells finest in the tank and she starts to fire on 5 !!

Cat overheating light comes on and stays on, Pull the plug off n/s/f coil pack and no difference. No probs, nip home and fit a spare plug and coil pack, no difference !! Give her a wee road test in case it clears itself, NO !!

Cuts out and wont start.

Wiggle all the connections and she starts to backfire through the exhaust.

Phone a taxi, go home, pick up spare PTU, return, fit it at side of road and still no difference !!!

Phone the AA and wait an hour and a half for them to appear. Explain what happened and realise unless its a "common" car they dont have a scooby doo !! :xxx:

Explained when I phoned in it was a very low auto, so they send a VW VAN ?

Further hour later the Beaver tail arrives and gets it on !!!

End result is it still wont start, too wet to do any further work to it, extremely p****d off !!!

Sorry to have missed the meet guys, and miss uncle Chunk !!

Alan.......

Thanx mate,

Couldnt face it tonight in the dark !!!

Will give it a good going over tomorrow. Suppose even if I changed the PTU, it could still be a bad connection, somewhere !!!

Alan...

Take the PTU conection off and look inside , you will see if it is corroded or not just give it a little clean with the good old sand paper, blowing all the bits out of course and then Bob should be you dads brother.....;)
