lost about 70 pics first one ov it coming out ov barn a f-----g mess and more ov engineers work shop eg detailed bore wear cam lobe wear which was virtually nothing

as he fitted a brand new engine but used the wrong oil and f----d the lifters,in let valves and lots more he also had fitted a full gear kit to it costing £2000 and torqe converter so when he said give me £1500 for it i snapped his arm off ill post some pics when i bring it out ov garage

How reliable is my Escort? Or nextdoors Scooby? It depends on how well it's been looked after by previous owners. The usual service items are required, as with any other car. The engine bay electrics are prone to heat damage over time, but on the whole nothing more major than anything else.

Have a look at the Buying Guide that'll give you some pointers on some things that can be a problem.
