Yesterday afternoon I helped a friend pick up his new ride from the dealer - an Aston Martin DB9 (!) We went in his X5 and I drove it back to his lair in the Cotswolds. OMG! This has got to be the best 4x4 I've ever driven. 360bhp, the ultimate in gadgets, oodles of grip and torque, crisp handling, good looks, massive 22" Kahn alloys, lovely V8 exhaust note ... dare I say it, I enjoyed driving the Beemer more than I do my Zed :shock: If it wasn't for the price (this one cost him a shade under £70k two months ago) I'd go out and buy me one today - it's that good. Alas, my money tree died a few months ago and now have to resort to printing my own (just in case the old bill is reading this ... I'm only kidding ...). I'm not a big fan of BMW's but this one is defo a cut above the rest (incl. the new Range Rover - sorry Tony ;)) Anyone else ever driven one?
Had a go in the Aston as well afterwards (just a quick blast around the block) and that's pretty amazing as well. He's a lucky guy - his garage includes the above two vehicles, a Brabus SL600 (or whatever they call it), a Ferrari F50 (currently being "looked after" by Verdi of London after an unfortunate incedent with a curb) and a Fiat Stilo (???!) Guess being a games developer pays well these days ... I'm in the wrong job!
