Paypal Question: Receiving Payment

There's a chap that's buying some stuff off me who wants to pay via Paypal instead of making a bank transfer as I suggested. Just received notification via email that he's requested a payment be made from his credit card but I've just read at the bottom of the message that I can't receive it unless I upgrade to a Premier or Business account which I don't want to do! Is this right? Is there a way round this? I don't use Paypal at all so not too sure of the ins and outs! Any advice would be appreciated :)

Cheers,

Leigh.

no way round it if he insists he want to pay by paypal

even if you upgrade m8 it won't be done instantly, takes 3-4 days for them to put a small deposit, to confirm its your account

IF used sensibly paypal is safe m8, and saves loads of hassle

but if you don't want to use it then fair enough, you will have to get him to send some other way;)

I suppose you could insist that he puts the money into his paypal account from a bank account instead of from a credit card. That way you should be able to receive the money without having to upgrade your account.

Cheers for the advice guys. If he still wants to use Paypal I'll ask him to put the money in from a bank account instead as I definately don't want to change my account :)

Leigh.

Be careful though, i have withdrawn my funds from payapl to about £400 to my confirmed account and 1 month later it has still not appeared,

I asked them to trace and am waiting to hear!
