Well over the last few months we are having more people selling parts and NOT getting paid than ever before on this forum.

You are going to have to be more vigilant before you let stuff go out; there are three cases of which I know about and one case of repeated cheque bouncing.

So for all those that are owed money after they have sent parts out how about we have a section where we stick their names up until funds are paid?

However it will be easy to keep control of this if you hang onto your parts until funds are cleared

mac PM'd you mate, hasn't delivered... need to talk mate.

Yep, I couldn't agree more name em and shame em, I wouldn'y even dream of bouncing a cheque on someone or not despatching goods that have already been paid for. If someone did that to me I would seriously have to take the situation into my own hands and "Pan their Frikkin' Heads In".

Oh dear, this is all very grim! Didn't realise there was so much of this sort of stuff going on. :(

I agree the offenders should be named, when its sure they have offended, and also add names form other forums too, ie 200sx, GTO etc as a few of us move around.

  • 1 year later...

a few members have bought complete systems off me and some that were custom built and set up, i didnt ask for the cash up front but it was offered and paid in advance, the systems built and courierd as quick as possible and some even collected.

only once i have had a problem and that was due to the banks fookin me and another member about, nothing we could do to prevent it, however i sent out the goods before payment as it was a present for his wife.

i offer my services to members here and i do so with good faith, i havent been deliberately messed about by anyone here and i dare say will never i hope.

i do however stand by a policy of if money has been paid and i cannot complete a service, i either offer a replacemnt option of a different package and i usually offer an upgrade free of charge also or i make a full refund.

its a shame that things like this happen

forgot to add, i paid for my fuel line kit off smithy in advance and waited about a week or so for it to arrive as it was not in stock i cant fault him for that! top bloke

havent read the whole thread but what happens if its the other way round mac, like someone pays and doesn't recieve the goods, then what?

Myself apart from well known people and traders i will do paypal transactions with other forum members if i deal stuff.

I do ebay a lot and sometimes i have been a lazy arse and paid people two weeks late in 3 cases. But of course with ebay they didnt ship the stuff till they was paid and i got reminders.

With the ZX club i have been as quick as posible and tried not to faff about as its an enthusiasts club.

Going back to a past thread ZX'ers should be very vigilent if they are buying something like a 2nd hand engine that is sold as '100% or really good condition'. And if it goes tits up after otherwise fine running, the crap flies between the seller and the buyer.

The ZX is a highly stressed sportscar. Using parts that are not new runs the risk of it failing so buyers should keep that in mind.

A club members dispute section would be a good idea. If someone has a valid reason and there is a dispute then it should be made visable to all members. the dispute could then be settled in that section and that section alone. (NOT THE PUBLIC SECTION) It has nothing to do with anyone else. If anyone deals with a non subscribed member then thats their own fault really. We as members should be able to trust each other. Not "name and shame" because there could be a valid reason. If the dispute remains unsettled then name and shame the culprit.

YES, A VERY GOOD IDEA. It might just help stop all this shite that as you said Ian is getting worse just lately.

The poll result shows 100% in favour of "Name & Shame" but this policy is still not in use.

Why?

 dont p*ss about name them first as last i trust you all in the club all the guys i have met are genuine all the traders i have dealt with are genuineit really grips my shit that a couple of cheap scate nobs can make members doubt eachother name them now"""""""""""""""
