Iam quite new here and hope to be posting here from know on, i have just steped onto age 17, went and passed my licence aswell... i was shocked when my family told me to choose a nice car for myself and they would pay...:dance:

 

I want to go for a 300zx, but what i was wondering was the insurance cost... how much would the insurance be for a 17 year old, remember that this is my first car...:cool:

 

Iam from london by the way... any ideas would be great... :)

Ive wanted one if these beasts for years too bud, Im now nearly 22 and going to pick up my first UK spec Zed in a month or so.........believe me and the others who have more experience than myself, the wait will be painful but, when you turn old enough to buy/afford one your dream will come true and ull be on top of the world, i started out with a red Beeltle and yeah my mates were driving around in there flash novas and mummys car(that they pretend is theirs!)but i had the style!go for a classic or something different!........aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnddd remember take care of yourself annnnnddddd each other!heehee

They won't look good without any mods, I finally decided NO MODS, NO sillyness.. iam going for a corsa... But my dad is so angry about the corsa, he says they are nothing but trouble... :eek:

 

I think they are sweet cars, his offering me a clio!!! which one is better clio or a corsa? Let me know, monday i will be buying the corsa from a mate... or i might just go for a clio if i hear good reviews... Once i get a corsa or a clio or what ever... will i be able to post at this board or is this place just for 300zx cars?

dooooooooooont get a clio out of the 2 get a corsa more reliable and aint french :tongue: no this place aint just for 300s hairdressers frequantly flood this site LOL:rolleyes: so your v.welcome here give it 2years and if thats what you want by then get a 300zx and you wont look back :cool: greg

I asked my sister for her reviews over cosra and she replyed, '' i think corsa is a nice car and boys really look good in them specially this blond boy i see going pass the house everyday'' :rolleyes: :rolleyes: (how childish) and shes 17 aswell... blimming heck woman... (god save me):bow:

PcBoss I've been following you thread with interest and as previous Peeps have said,you seem like a sensible Lad.Take a good long look at my car on the rides section,especially the engine.Then think to yourself"Can I Really Handle One Of These At 17 " Then think to your self,"Yeh One Day But Not Yet" You will get your dream car,be patient,good look with what ever you drive.Remember clothes do not a man make.

Having driven both a Clio and a Corsa i would say the clio, but it will break down more often and you will look like a :xxx: in it! So corsa. Or go against the grain and get a 1.6 Astra coupe? Drove a 2 litre one today and i was impressed.

Well my parants always have said that i was a sensible lad, slow, not to hyper... I guess iam going to go for a corsa, I have also thought that showing off an 300zx will not be much off an chance for me...

 

Because iam working all day long from 9am-6pm then i come out of work and go to collage at 8:00pm-9:30pm and then i go around to a mates house and come back home about 11:00pm..

 

There wont be much time for showing off the car... maybe when i save up some money and have decided to reduce my working time limit then insurance should be less in a year or so and it would be appropate time to go for somthing faster like an zx...

 

so far 3 bad reviews over clio... guess its gonna be a corsa then... :bow:

 

I have cousins at 18 and i wonder how they drive zx cars, without no insurance???? :eek:

YEEESSSSSS!!!!!

 

Got my corsa today in the morning and just got home now because i was out drivnig all day, i did't even go work today and called sick for collage... I went and bought really nice stuff for the car, air fresheners... break down tools, etc...

 

I also polished it for nearl 2 hours, it looks really sexy now... its a nice black one... hopefully ill get it insurance'd next week... fehhwww i must of spent a whole 10 quid petrol in 1 day...

 

Anyway, i better get to bed now... i need to be up tommorow at 8:30am... i did't do much speed today as it was my first time on my own car... infact i did not even dare to go over 30mph... LOL :cool:

 

my cousins and mates all came around to see the car with there zx's sx's MR2's and challanged me for a street race after 8pm but i steped upo straight awa and said NO... please do not offer me this again.. :nono:

i must of spent a whole 10 quid petrol in 1 day...

I know its not good driving without insuarnce but it would take a week to cover, i just can't wait because iam very exited about my car and besides i dont think i would have any accidents because iam working all day long...:nelson:

 

Theres one minor problem, :xxx: I dont have a cd player inside so i buy something good by next week... its only radio and i need to be lucky to hear the tunes i like... :o

 

Or i could just wait another 2-3 weeks and get a cd player with fully modified speaker system done to the boot sides of the doors etc... yeh i think iam going to wait for 2-3 weeks and get the whole audio system fitted :o

Limited milage and classic insurance but hell its worth it!!

I wish I was as lucky as you when I first passed my test. My first mowta was an old Mini 850cc, cool little motor. I wanted more 'poke' after a month, so i went and brought a mint MK2 XR2 from a copper, boy, it seemed like a cosworth compared to the mini!

.....drive safe and dont give up the thoughts about the mighty Zed! :cool:
