everytime i want to host an avitar it looks crap coz its to small is there any tricks to make them bigger without taking up that generous 4.9kb :D as some of the ones on the site are really clear and look good

Just d/l something like Q image and resize it to the recomneded size.

 

It should be no bigger than the Res, or the rec size, so do it to max res ;)

p.s or just email me the pic and ill resize it and send it back iof you havnt got a program / cant find qimage or the like

100kb each, times that by 15 posts per page and you have a page taking a possible 1.5mb of just avatars, which will take a long time to down load, an age for people with modems, and will also increase the server use by a hefty lot too.

Cool, not a bad prog matey, it will suite all your image resizing / cropping needs, I used it to blow up a 1600x1200 to well over 4000 for a good quality a1 poster size.

 

Does the trick better than any photoshop plugin ;)
