Just purchased my first 300zx twin turbo today.

Part exchanged with my much loved 200sx S14a :(

Hopefully the zed will be as good as my old 'hundy' and I wont miss her too much.

 

The car has 18" Enkai wheels and HKS super drager exhaust. The car will be ready tomorrow so I will post some pics up.

It was purchased from a dealer and is a JDM car. He didnt know much about it. So I have a few questions:

 

Does the zed have a strut base as standard (in the boot) ? My car had a nice alumminium jobby and was wondering if its an standard or after market part. How much are these worth ?

 

The car was lowered and the loweing springs were green. I saw these and thought TEIN. Am I right ? Are these TEIN springs beacuse they are green. Again how much are they worth.

 

Does the Zed have a LSD ?

no, they dont have strut braces as standard - depending on make, they are prob about £100+

 

unsure as to what make green springs are, tho i know spring greens are made by farmers ;) :D (cost about 59p from tesco :D)

LOL - Im only going on about cost cause I want to make sure I have a bargain. Hopefully I got a good deal on this car with all the extra's.

 

Does anyone know if its a viscous or mechanical LSD. Ive never seen a Zed in a drift video. Wonder why ?

Even Supra's (big lardy car) are used in drifting. JUN have an awesome yellow drift Supra. Surely a Zed is driftable in the right hands

Yes, but it's tricky, because the HICAS 4 wheel steering makes it quite snatchy!
