Timmy ur askin for trouble with this question but should be fun let the answers role or more a case of let some heads role! :D

Yeah maybe bud, but it's that time of year...LMFAO...just before Billing! Maybe the powers that be could allow us to vote for more than one company...as I personally support SE and PPS. ;)

PMSL, 1000 votes

If the last option is actually supposed to mean 'DIY' then thats me :) And when the car's done, I'll be proud to say I not been overcharged / had to wait in waiting rooms / had to put up with crappy customer service, etc while another company works on my car.

And I've learnt one hell of a lot about my Z in the meantime.

Simon.

A thousand votes could only be notched up by a nervous quivvering finger - which is usally brought on just before the finger-owners bank account gets a serious shafting from one of the above mentioned companies.

:)

Oh, and why on earth does the poll-ing software on this site still print diddy-little bars for 0% - surely there should be NO bar at all???

Good point Si! Sh1te BBS this! LMFAO :)

Duffer the bodger man that cant fit Blitz exhausts

lol....funny

i do as much as i can and smw1 helps me as well when i need it, rest assured that duffer is on the end of the line,

the man knows his stuff,

DIY for me, more satisfying. Oh and cheaper, nowt to do with being a tight northen git ;)

I thought you were Grasshoppers specialist 300ZX tuner anyway John

Ye! Where's J D tuning on this poll. Gets my vote.

DIY, PPS, SE....got to admit though with the amount stuff i have learnt over the few years from the help of guys off the forum, especially mr andyduff, i would always try to tackle it myself....ie (here we go) SE charged me 200 squid to tell me my auto ecu was buggered...didnt fix it...told me to come bk another day after spending 6 hours there...decided to try myself and it ended up being my speed sensor, it was dissconnected:rolleyes: oh well

Another one for "JD tuning" though it ain't on the list ;)

Hey John, funnily enough I know someone who could paint you a decent sign for above your garage...;) I'm sure Hayley wouldn't mind [ahem!] :D

having had some not so pleasing work done at SE , I am rebuilding my engine as we speak as its gone tits up, if all goes well I would not touch another garage with a barge poll allthough its good to have john Eric and duff on hand, of course i could put it all back together and it will never run again , time will tell I suppose = time to sell and buy a skyline

would look even better if i used you as the hood ornament Simon :xxx:

I have used SE with no complaints, but am of the opinion that DIY is the way to go. As with others above John Dixon and Andy Duff have been a major help in times of need.

Lots of us in the Northwest use C&S Woods - always a solid job, and they're pretty flexible about popping in to fettle something yourself and so on when the car's in for an extended stay.

BUT IMHO their time management could be better...

It always seems to take longer than a) it should and b) I'm first told. Both cars for the engine swap have been in there for 5-6 weeks now, and when I went in last week, practically nothing had happened. Bizarre really, because the donor car is taking up one of their ramps and has been for all that time!

Anyone else found that? Or does everyone else just use them for while-you-wait type jobs?

Zack, never had any problems here, any job or service its been in for has always been done for when I pick it up.

Barry.

 Bloody hell where to start.....lol

Z Centre, PPS  Z World  DTA, NE, DIY  the list goes on and lots of people who just help out.... :duffer:

All but one of the jobs ive had done was a 'while u wait' one as i live around an hour away and rather than put someone else out and make them give me a lift home i just hang around, maybe go up the road for a pint and a butty ( nice pub by the way, highly recommended!). On the one occaision when my gearbox died, i dropped it off just before i was going on hol, when i came back 2 weeks later, it was fixed, top job! So no complaints whatsoever from me!

Just get a Toyota and be done with it! LMFAO :)

I think the truth is that the Z is a beehatch to work on and there's more money in Supras, Evo's and Impretzia's and there much easier to work on. Also the Supra "spits and washes mouth out. Pauses and takes in deep breath". and Evo have had far fewer ballbrains working on them because they're newer and can handle more abuse.

So some places will use the Z to fall onto between more lucrative work.
