Yes, it's 320mm on the box but I think it's about 1" less all round compared to the stock wheel.

looks nice, did you loose cruise control/hicas or any other gizmos?

Yeh, even thought I had the boss from Luke it still didn't matter as the controls are on the supplid horn (my middle cover would not accept it) so I had to use the one that was supplied with the Momo wheel (obviously fits perfect!) but I loose the Cruise control buttons......

 

Why would I lose the HICAS?? I set the wheel up right, connected the horn, grounded it and fitted the new wheel and no warning light for HICAS or anything....

Now, I could be wrong here but I was told that steering wheel rotation (as measured by two plates in the boss) feeds input to the HICAS system. If the original boss is removed there is no more input hence no HICAS.

 

Was also told that if your steering wheel is not centred the HICAS input is considered to be abnormal (ie it thinks you're always going around a corner) and this also disables the HICAS system.

 

However, disabling the HICAS this way is not a cheap alternative to fitting the Stillen HICAS fixator as there will still be some "play" in the HICAS arms. The Stillen fixator removes that play.

It obscures the left/right indicator lights in the middle and some of the speedo and rev counter..........but I'm not fussed it looks great and if I really want to know how fast I'm going I look down a bit further than usual.

LOL Its true I tried the 320 and I could not see the top of the clocks and that was with the seat to the lowest position:D

Lovely looking wheel! Getting rid of the scuffed-up bit of Nissan shit I've still got is getting higher on my list of 'improvements' (after the oil cooler, headlights, dials, seats, hard-pipes etc.etc.etc. :rolleyes: )

 

By the way, what's the little doodah on the tweed trim (you've GOT to get rid of that!) by the lights on/off control? Sorry if this has been asked 10 squillion times before!

It's part of the old alarm system, I removed it about 4 weeks ago (well JD did!!) ;) and I am about to re-trim the tweed with leather......

 

......same graphite grey as I have on my new leather with the dove grey colour to make up the 'piping' on the edges.....I can't wait to get stuck into that....times running out before billing!! ;)

 

I had the smaller wheel as I prefered it slightly smaller to the bigger one......(Ooooerrr...)
