Would it be possible to write a chip with a 30mph speed limit and 2000rpm rev limit that could be put into the already socketed ECU when the car is going to be left on the drive for a few weeks while on holiday or taken for repairs somewhere and you don't want some spotty oink taking your car out and caning the shit out of it.

Yes, in fact the best option would be to have a dual switched map for the ECU, one with your normal day-to-day map and another for the valet (as the US call it) or additional performance. I have done this for a couple of people, plus my own or course.

Disconnect the AFM... it'll take an oik ages to find / fix that and meanwhile you're limited to 2500 revs!
