Spoke to Jeff at Z World the other day asked him the same question, he replied "No difference in performance at all" , think about it stock blocks are exactly the same spec, only small differences are electric folding mirrors, petrol filler slightly different, Rear wheel steering etc etc but nothing that I would say or Jeff that would make the Jap produce more power than a UK Z.

durrrr it depends what colour they are of course!

:hyper: Black SWB....is so much faster.......

Rear wheel steering etc .

import TT's have HICAS too, its just the NA's that dont have it

UK TT's are more likely to have leather & heated seats, cheaper & easier to insure.

imports are cheaper to buy in the 1st place & are more likely to have a few mods on.

Bigger rad on UK and oil coolers plus oil cooler on the diff as well for so called continuous high speed running on autobahns etc!

Free rust unfortunately on some UKs.

Jap cars, no RUST!

lower mileage(normally), and usually have some nice mods (particularly class wheels which are v popular in Japan) - and those folding mirrors are so cool!

BUT, you get clobbered on insurance by the ignorant insurance companies!

And the money you save can easily cover the cost of a sexy custom leather interior (just what I did!)

Gotta admit would have loved some folding mirrors on my UK spec but I have just put on some BMW M3 style mirrors on mine with built in side repeaters and neon trim after smoothing over my standard side repeaters on the wings.

Incase u didnt know, UK has wider rear wheels - 245 tyres , imports are 225 all round.

Now, do u want no rust, or do u want leather heated seats?

Joke- there's good and bad, import or UK ,

mines an import , happy with it , no rust, and insurance wasnt a prob, cheap and easy.

My UK has folding mirrors - you just got to fold em yourself!

Plus UK has famous 2 stage leccy rear shocks that can go hard with the handbrake up a notch in diagnostic mode - apparently also connected to the HICAS system but nobody knows for sure under what conditions they switch to hard. One of these days I'll fit a light to the circuit and let you know.

Have read about the diagnostic mode somewhere b4, that rear shock 2 stage set up sounds interesting, anymore specific info on that front ???
