Now running Optimax, with a bit more mapping, boost at ~1.3 bar (~20 PSI)...

485.8 bhp (flywheel) @ 7693 rpm :)

Twin-pop is probably next ;)

Im all for a good engine management system, you should be pleasantly suprised, and you will probably be kicking yourself for not getting one sooner...what I was getting at was that you are going for the DTA, when there are much more expensive items about, as you do seem to like spending A LOT of money on your car. :D ;)

I wouldn't go for alternative engine management until you really really need it. As Si has mentioned I have heard of all sort of problems with after market ones such as DTA, Pete mentioned the other day to me how he frazzled the injector IC's on a DTA system (and had to call the AA). The only reasons I can see you would need one is that your air metering is MAF instead of MAS, you need a very extended fuel, ignition & boost map. Get Pete to build you a 15000 rpm spec engine, he may be able too, he likes a good engineering challenge.

Also another reason, Pete is a good engine tuner but have you seen his wiring

BTW: Got another couple of happy customers from yesterdays little test drive. Took the Zed upto 150 in 4th (hit the limiter), feels great again  SXOC have a pic, hang on I'll post it ....

At -14 PSI of boost too ;) Nice one Eds - that private track of Pete's really comes in handy for that sort of thing! No det still I take it?

The Nissan ECU is a clever bit of kit. I'm happy with it. I know Macca likes spending money, but it's more about spending money on stuff that counts. Must get around to sorting my rusk out at some point! Nah, f*ck it! :D
