How much power will my car have at the wheel when its finished?

Just a bit of fun, because I am stuck in work watching 3 international football matches. :(

How much do you think my car engine will produce at the wheels when its finished?

Its a manual.

The spec will be

87.5mm Wiseco Pistons,

555cc Injectors,

Dual POP with Apexi filters on,

JWT ECU (Setup for 555cc and Dual POP)

Lightly Unorthodox Racing Pullie

Stock Turbos with uprated internals

Greddy Intercoolers,

AVC-R.

It already has on

Mongoose exhaust,

Decat pipes,

With all that new Harness, lifters, O2 sensors etc, so it should be running well

Vote how much you think AT THE WHEEL it will have.

Just a bit of fun.

Stuart

LOL I have to be Mark, once I get past 50 words the swear meter would make the forum crash:D;)

Hey, I'm convinced!, either John knows what he's talking about or he's got his text book open on the wrong page!

I heard as a general rule that the idle will suffer if the injector size is larger than the capasity of 1 cylinder.

555cc in theory are a little to big, according the the rule above, but only a little over that it shouldnt effect it too much.

I've heard that too, but its clearly false, as you'll find when your engine is complete.

However... what _will_ cause you to get lumpy idle, (and this is often found where people have coinsidently upgraded to 555's), is if you have some racing cams installed. HKS ones for example _will_ give you a lumpier idle - fact. I've had the pleasure of being passenger in an R32 with 555's / HKS cams / HKS tubbies / HKS IC, which rode kind of like this: lumpy to 1,200, little power until 3,000, but then a huge power band from then on.

So Mr Williams analysis of the 555=lumpy idle, is complete testicles. (racing cams DOES = lumpy idle however!)

Simon.

yeah, some of the US guys running 720cc injectors still claim they have a smooth idle too. as long as its injecting the correct amount of fuel theres no problem.

They say as you get older you become less tollerant. I must admit its much quicker and you feel alot better just telling someone to feck off. Instead of all the hassel of explaining. You ask my missus she'll confirm this :D

I am seriously thinking about 555's on mine Nismo possibly could any of you guys reccomend the best ones to go for ? and the best place (Cheapest to get them from)

HI Vijay,

When I got my Nismo 555's they didn't come with the two O-rings that each injector needs. However, assuming you're installing into your standard fuel rail then just order some new standard ones.

Cheers
