Then he asked me if I would leave him alone as he doesn't like to work with someone watching him. I went and sat in my car but thing was, it was parked next to the biggest pile of horse manure you have ever seen in your life and it fookin stank. (it was the only space)

Got bored sitting in my car and went for a walk around the smelly farm. Came across this funny sign and took a pic of it!

There we go...........bonnet back on the car. Bolted it straight up but will just have to undo it again to make sure its straight as a tiny uneven gap compared to H/L panel and not having that!

He primered around the vents for me where he had rubbed it back to bare metal......whick kinda got me thinking about having a polished bonnet! (seeing as it is aluminium)

One more pic of the whole car in shot.

Forgot to take any pics of the underside of the bonnet. I took off that insulation stuff and they just had to cut out a couple of supports to be able to press in the louvres in the position I wanted. The bonnet is no difference in rididgity. Just got to get it painted now but have more painting to be done so will do it all in one go. Noticed on the way home the temp needle sitting a little lower and when I actually got home, put my hand over the louvres and could really feel the heat coming out!

nice

Out of interest how much did it cost and are you going to put something under the louvres for when it rains?

:D

Not bad mate, will have to see them in the flesh though ;)

Nice job.

Yes how much did it cost?

I've being thinking of having it done for ages but not sure. It certainly does the job in getting some of that mad heat from the engine.

Its £5 per louvre for the first 20 louvres then they go down to £2 or £3 after that, it says on the website so have a look on that.

I think they would look out of place on a standard Z but mine wont be standard looking for much longer!

I did have a conversation about the rain getting in and he said if you were driving in the rain it won't get in but if it was parked up then some might, so I will look at this.

Looks well smart james, and i salute your courage, i was going to buy a scrapbonnet to see how it looked and then look at mine, but well done with just going through with it. :)

LOL......I would've done it the other way around, just do it and then see if I could get another bonnet afterwards if they looked pants!

They will look alot better when painted and 99 front on etc. ;) In fact I kinda wish I had waited to post till it was all done but nevermind, I wanted to share my joy with you 'orrible lot. :D

Good move though, plus added bonus of letting the hot air out which is great.

What was the total cost by the way?

Im tempted to go for it but im way up here in the North. Will have to find someone up here.

Added bonus as opposed to what??? This is the ONLY reason I did it! :D (but of course I wanted something that looked ok)

£100 which I think is very reasonable.......of course you have to add the cost of getting your bonnet painted again aswell.

Looks well nice mate its different and thats what makes our cars speacial,;)

She will look nice when you get that 99 spec bumper on it:slap:

Cheers Marc. I'm going to de-badge the H/L panel aswell and think this will make a nice combo. :D

If you really wanna let all the heat out, why not just remove the bloody bonnet altogether? :D:slap:
