After such a shite event at north weald I decided rather than waste the entire day I'd batter do something in the evening to save the weekend. So I fitted my rear strut bar.

 

I must say this is a real PITA. For something so simple. you gotta strip the entire boot, then fitting it was even more or a PITA. LOL

 

Anyway got there in the end....

 

Notice any difference?

Stu, Not driven it yet, only just finished it .

Well put it this way.

I got back from the event at about 17:00.

I sat down and cracked open a beer and read the forum a little.

Looked at the time and it was about 18:00 so I decided to fit the strut brace.

Was a little warm so I had a few more can's of beer and before you know it I was well over the limit, so I will try it out tonight :D.

ahh, fair enough, look forward to hearing what difference it's made.

Stupid question... forgetting the sub box, is it game over for the roof glass going in the boot? I'd like to know how it feels too. I'm kinda thinking there's a lot of strength there already (around where the tailgate attaches). You've got a front one too, haven't you? How does that feel?

Can't tell any difference really.

But then I've put new brakes on the fron tand had new tension bushes fitted so the whole car feels different now, but better handling for sure :D.
