Bad news indeed - a very talented man. Had won so much without getting much recognition outside the sport.

Isn't that true of all of our frankly fcukin' excellent motorbike riders??!!!

RIP Steve, you'll be missed.

No fukin way!:( Hilsop was an awsome rider. Very underrated. I saw a video of him once, doing a lap of the Isle of Man TT circuit. The camera was mounted down by the front wheel spindle so the view was amazing, especially when you consider it was a lap at an AVERAGE speed of 122.5MPH!!!!!!!!!  :D  Getting the RC30 he was on up to over 185mph on the mountain section, and not slowing down all that bloody much for hairpin and off-camber bends in the built up sections. In fact in his commentry he pointed out that at one section there is a long 'S' bend which you can straight-line if you get the angle right. Getting the angle right involved getting your head within 4 INCHES of a lamp post at over 170mph!!

Sad loss.:(

He'd only just learnt to fly his copters too.

Crying shame.

:(

I pretend to work, they pretend to pay me!

That sent a chill down one side of me. A Very Sad Day.:(
