Been trying to get classic insurance for my car, so far the only one I got is Firebond for £868 which is not as good as I was expecting, considering my quote for normal cover from A-Plan was £850

Tried a few other places and refused classic because I am not 25. WTF has my age got to do with my cars age? Im not the thing that is meant to be the classic, the car is! So why do I have to be 25?

I may try A-Plan but I think they say that is has to be garaged, and how many garages can fit a Z in? Not many and ours has no chance.

Any suggestions people?

Insurance premiums see to depend on whether the guy quoting had a good time with his mistress the previous night. You just have to be lucky.

Try Houghton Insurance 01582-867763. They got me classic cover on an ungaraged twin turbo import for £340 limited to 1500 miles. I have just increased it to 3000 miles for an extra £45.

They required a Cat 1 alarm.

The insurance is through AON.
