LOL thats only a money spider Martin:D

This is what is in my bedroom:D

We had a spider similar to that but with stripey legs, I was in work so my missus had to sort it but she is absolutely terrified of spiders!

Just moved into our house and had bought some curtains and some hessian tie-backs( which were wrapped in plastic).

So I put them up and went to work. That evening my wife drew the curtains and there on the wall was one of those spiders!!

We had no neighbours at the time ( new houses and we were the first to move in) so as this beasty had started to wake up and crawl along the wall, my wife had to do something before it went behind something and got her later!!;)

She grabbed the hoover and with the longest extension on it try to suck this spider off the wall, It was having none of it , so she hit it and vacuumed it up while it was stunned, and kept the hoover running for at least half an hour.

When I got home later I had to drive around a black bin bag which was in the road!!

In case the beasty woke up and came to get her ,she wrapped the hoover in several bin bags tying them up tightly and put it as far away from the house as possible!!(Bless her!!)

Cheers,

F.T.

Class Tony !!!! :D

My missus would have just left the house and told me to sort it out when I go home from work.

Even then she want to see with her own eyes that it wasn't in the house any more before returning.

Then she would keep me awake all night for about two weeks with questions like.

What if it had a partner here ?

What if it laid eggs somewhere ?

What if it comes back ?

What is it with spiders ffs? :D The big ones yeah they are just horrid but ffs your normal household spider... First thing, she kills all the spiders, then she complains about the flies - FFS :D Leave the spiders and no more flies.... Nah thats too easy :D

My brother is a beach bum in Zanzibar, but used to do overland trips to Kenya in old ex-army lorries. One night he felt something crawling on his leg, carefully unzipped his sleeping bag and found an almost identical spider on him! He killed it, dried it out and kept it in a huge cigar box (which it only just fit into)! Fack dat!

You don't want to worry about the big ones. It's the little one you don't see that you should be scarred off.

As a kid I lived abroad and got bit by a black widow. Lucky for me I squished it before it got enough into me to cause much damage!

So now I've grown up with absolutely no side efffeeeecctttssss....must killlll.....must killlllll
