LOL so the zed never broke down? :D

hmmmmmmmmm guess them cheapo lightweight monster fast cars arnt that great lol

I would have thought it was obvious that you couldn't leave a car on the Hard Shoulder of a motorway.

TBH it serves you right for being stupid!

Tim

Yeah what a bummer - car was due to go into the garage for new tappets, coolant leak etc.

Shudda gone home in the 300  :(

Thanks !

Another chance to slag me off - roll on up....

Bad luck TBH I've never heard of a 2 hour max limit on the hard shoulder either:confused:

I know this dosnt help but when I boke down on the M6 the RAC towed me home and then arranged forward recovery to the garage I use the next day - maybe worth findig out if the AA do the same , especially as it sounds like you'll need it towing from the impound?

Cheers

Adam

hard shoulder is used by emergency services an awful lot, you just can't keep it blocked up, you should inform the police if you have broken down there anyway I think and they will arrange getting you somewhere safe.

Wouldn't have mattered who it was m8, I would have told anyone that they were stupid. The hard shoulder is for use in emergencies, did you not think to use the phones on the motorway? I guess you had quite a walk home as well!

P.S. Incidentally, I have monocular vision but have full 3 dimensional comprehension. Instead of using 2 images, I use an enhanced perception of relative size and movement to generate a 3 dimensional comprehension in my head. I do have very occasional problems when something is a different size to what my brain expects but it's rare

ROFLMFAO !

Any vehicle on any motorway left unattented for over 2 hours is classed as abandoned, If there are no lights on the vehicle it can be towed away straight away as it is a hazard. . I know cus im one of the guys that tow it away for the cozzers.Tough rules i know, but all done for safety of road users. It makes a big mess slamming into a stationary vehicle........

oh and the removal/release fee is set by the cozzers. Different costs for the different forces.Usually more expensive the further u go south. all i can say is GET BREAKDOWN COVER. i have.:)

I was on a slip road about 20 metres from a set of lights. hardly a very dangerous position !! I should have called the AA (I'm a member) - don't know why I didn't TBH  Didn't want the hassle, but ended up with more :(

The cheeky fook of a woman at the recovery place even had the cheek to have a go at me because I didn't have a driving license I'd moved house and had sent my license to DVLA (about to send off for new photocard one) !!

Still, the Police Christmas Party fund will be OK for a while !! Let's mug some more drivers FFS

I'd say a slip road is very dangerous, drivers coming off the motorway have more to think about when coming off a motorway than when driving on the motorway.

Yes, but where I was, they should only be doing about 30MHP max.

yeah but by the same standard there is a law there, stating you should not have been there? SO IN OTHER WORDS YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE?

Ok, lets look at this from another perspective. If the law WASN'T there, the motorway would be littered with abandoned cars. What a safe place the hard shoulder would be then.... lol

You're right. I agree ;) :D :D

I do object to the charge of £105 though - they only took the car 1 junction away !
