Good catch checking it yourself — a coolant leak around the old plastic-ended radiator would explain why the fluid appeared in that area. With the welding done, the alloy radiator fitted, and the tyres and pads being replaced, it sounds like you have covered the important items before the retest.
One small thing: after it passes, check the online record to make sure the failure and advisory wording matches what the tester actually found. For transparency, I work on MotRadar, and its MOT history check makes it easy to see the DVSA result, advisories and mileage history in one place.

2003 350z lots new parts, at least 6 months on mot, all black interior, loads of brand new suspension parts still be fitted.
