Why have I never heard any talk of football, sport etc on the Zed General chat forum?

Who does everyone support? You may be able to guess my team by my username, doubt it tho! ;)

I did bujinkan ninjitsu aswell for 2 years - its really effective in real world situations - no ludicrous flying kicks or flashy $hit, just stuff that works!

So that's a gun and a baseball bat then?

Funnily enough handguns were covered, and most of the "traditional" sword/ short staff techniques work pretty well with baseball bats. And knives and harsh language :p

But your so little
As your mother used to tell you Hermy size isn't everything  Actually it's not the big guys you gotta worry about tbh its the little guys , that are usually fast as fvck

who with? heard of Alan Collins? he was my instructor (sadly died a few years back), quite respected in the UK.

Name doesnt ring any bells.

Used to train with an instructor called Brin Morgan.

As an aside in a streetfight or a bust up in a night club, what would you use?

Ninjutsu or Karate? No offence, cos what I know about karate you could write on the back of a very small postage stamp, but it does'nt seem that useful in a pub brawl type situation... i.e. no grappling/ locks /holds, fighting from the ground etc?

Personaly I just Practise and train with the rugby club to keep fit, but I like all sports and always have. Did all the Karate shit when I was a lad. Now I'm older and wizer and avoid trouble.

Agreed. Best way to survive a fight unscathed is not to have it.

I'm into scuba diving and scuba fishing myself which can get preety scary sometimes but i have been into boxing and kickboxing for serious, just dont have 3-4 hours to train anymore

True, you can't stop a little guy kicking off can you.

LOL, remember the Harry Enfield sketch?

Edit: Can't spell

Its SMS (small man syndrome) They're either 1'9" tall, weigh 4 stone or are hung like a goldfish. Natures pi$$ed on them and they want their own back on the world.

Thats my theory anyway :D

LOL, you cant "use" either! there just names!

i think all this "this style is better than that style" is a crap argument. If your good at martial arts then it wont matter what style you do. just find a club with a good instructor.

comparing grappling/locking styles to punching/kicking styles is also difficult. fortuanatly iv trained in both so one situation may mean an arm lock would be better, or i may just punch them in the head!! :mac1:

as an instructor i do teach locks etc to the higher grades, & weve got a 2nd dan who does JKD, so he incorperates that, & another 4th dan who does aikido.

i just love any kind of training  taught karate last night then trained in kickboxing. love it!

True, but you can always step over them

I used to do Karate, firstly Shotokan then zome sort of competition. Would like to try either kickboxking or Thai as I've been told both of these are better (Thai being the best).

Hate football, saying that I will watch the England match of a big final.

Customer: I'll have a short please barman.

Short Bloke: Are you calling me short!..

True, but you can always step over them

Or keep them at arms length

Can you reach that far down?

A mate of mine is called "Big Andy" (6'8" and 23 stones), a very chilled out laid back bloke. One of my other mates is Pete, a short skinny loud mouth gob shite who turns into an Instant Arsehole - Just add alcohol. Now Pete rekons he's done this and that martial art, and can beat anyone - you know the type.

Anyway, Pete was having a go at Big Andy for no reason, when Big told him finally to Fack Off! Pete starts going on about ninja this and that, and how he doesn't care how big Andy is, he's going down coz Pete is FAST! Andy's reply?.....

"Pete, I don't need to be fast. I need to be ONCE!" :slap:  :mac1:

I know a guy like that called pete.......maybe its the name?

No! Sorry, but you're WRONG. The thing in the picture does not exist. It is just a figment of your imagination. The wonderful government in all its omnicience BANNED those things because that would totally eradicate gun crime, and not just penalise all the enthusiastic sport shooters throughout the UK   :slap: :(

So, Adam, are you going to the Rolling Road ?

Hey I thought this thread was about sports interest not a pissing contest. Don't get me wrong I'll piss with the best but haven't we got off thread :nono:

I think it was agreed that everyone hates football!

Thats coz it was originally a question about what football teams people support. Seems we are mostly in agreement here that football is a crap game played by dim-witted overpaid nancy boys! So the thread wandered off in a ore interesting direction! :D
