Just lately, say over the last 4-5 months, i have had to put my username and password in not only this site but loads of others, not every time i visit, but most of the time. This happens even though i tick boxes to remember me

Whats been going on, has something happened that i have missed? I have also been seeing a lot of cookie related questions, are they related?

Windows updates I think ?

Started happening to me as well. Done a system restore back a few months and it was fine.

Switched off my automatic Windows updates and all has been fine.

As a test, i installed the updates again and it started doing it.

Got it down to stopping at Explorer 8, and forgetting a certain Cumulative update.

Works for me !

The law on Cookies has changed and websites now require your permission to store them.. More info here; http://www.cookielaw.org/the-cookie-law/

As for your password problem, have you tried clearing your Internet cache files as well as your history? Doing this should allow you to enter and save your logins again.
