Well, Christmas is almost upon us (I can hear the moans from here), and once it's over thoughts start to turn to the 2014 show season.

For those that like to book their holidays well in advance, LakeZ 2014 will be taking place Friday 27th June - Sunday 29th June

Last year saw a big change to the format, and one that we feel worked well.

So continuing with that, the 4th LakeZ meet will once again be completely free for those attending (Petrol and Beer not included!).

The venue once again will be Cark-in-Cartmel, with the town hall serving as car parking and camping facility, and the Rose and Crown being the focus of socialising.

Friday will be meet and greet with entertainment in the pub (Currently planning on an acoustic set by a decent local musician).

On Saturday there will be a drive out organised.

There is again the option of taking the Steam Train and steamer around the lake, a nice chilled option.

Skydiving can be arranged for those persons with a twisted sense of adventure. Anyone wanting to skydive please let me know early so I can get it booked up, they get very busy.

Saturday night we will be in the Town Hall.

There will be a BBQ put on by a caterer, and special entertainment in the form of a Pink Floyd tribute band and then MIDGE URE!!

The Rose and Crown will be providing the beer for Saturday. It will be to the same high standard but this time we have come up with a slight change which will keep the prices even lower. Instead of draught beer they will be selling bottled beer. This enables them to sell a pint for about 30% less and give a lot wider range of options.

The pub will also be selling breakfast each day.

Sunday will be the show and shine judging.

If anyone wants to do anything else, go karting, horse riding, fishing, pretty much anything really then let me know and I will see what I can do.

Camping will again be FREE, entry on the saturday night will be FREE,. All I ask is that you support the raffle to save me having to sell organs.

I will be posting up more info as things are confirmed. In the meantime if you have any questions please ask.

There is a massive range of accommodation locally including several rental houses which work out very cheap if you can get a group together.

This is a social weekend so turn up in whatever vehicle you like. There is also a train station about 300m away.

To see what attractions are nearby this is the pub we are based at, just use the postcode and google local attractions. :)

Huge thanks to all that made it this weekend.

That's the 4th LakeZ we've done and they just get bigger and better.

Great to meet new people and catch up with old friends.

Expect bigger and better next year.

If anyone has any comments or suggestions on what they liked/didn't like then by all means PM me.

I will definately be on for next time. Although we only stayed the Saturday (which I'll get some stick off Ian Greenfield for) it was a really great event. The locality was stunning, the 350 club was very welcoming and we got to meet a few more of our forum members and 350/370z owners too.

The entertainment was first class, and believe me the food at The Rose and Crown was to die for, all 3 courses, and I believe i even got a trophy:thumbup:

A big hand must go to the organisers and everyone involved, for putting on a memorable experience i would recommend to everyone.

Was the trophy for 1st to leave the event

Just like to say thank you to the organisers, had a great weekend even the Mrs who hates car shows. Met some nice people and the event was well organised and the location was excellent. Nice to see so many Zeds turn up too was good to see all the different models at the same place. Midge Ure was amazing and Pink Floyd tribute band was good also. Rose and Crown food was really nice and friendly staff.

As to feedback for the event, I thought everything was spot on. I would have liked to of had the Hog roast, but if it was a toss up of hog roast and No Midge or BBQ and Midge the latter would win every time.

Well done guys.

Thanks for the feedback and positive comments guys.

No idea how we're gonna top Midge for next year but we're working on it.

Hog Roast may make a return again next year, depends on funding from clubs really. The majority of the show is funded from donations.

Apologies for the parking situation on the Saturday. It did get a little chaotic for a shirt time but we managed to get everyone where they needed to be.

There is a possibility of a venue change for 2014. But it'll only be a few hundred meters down the road.

If anyone wants to discuss more about what they liked or disliked then come find me at Coventry on July 19th.

I agree with Paul it was a great event and like Pauls Mrs, Beth even enjoyed herself, she usually spends most of the shows sat in the car either reading or sleeping.

On the way home she even asked if we were going to the next one !!!.

You bet we are, the location was spot on, the weather was good, the company was fantastic and the entertainment was first class.

In all anyone who didn't go is missing out, please guys get behind this event next year its growing nicely and it would be great to see more Z32's at this show.

Once again thanks to Alex, Martin and all those who helped make this a TOP weekend YOU GUYS ROCK
