I was discussing this with a friend the other day (obviously it was a very quiet moment with nothing much exciting to talk about!! lol)

OK so there are very rare cars around, and some of these were because they were one-offs, very small productions runs, or very limited market cars in the first place

But out of all these mass produced cars we all remember (depending on your age) from the 60's 70's 80's and even later.... are there any models now that are so rare they are actually extinct (there are none left on the road at all)?

Google didn't help much (or perhaps I was searching the wrong terms) I just found rare one-off or supercars. I'm thinking cars which were once a commonplace sight (not like a specific variant of a model like Granada GXL1.6i or some such) but just a specific model

We couldn't make up our minds.

Ian has already mentioned the Yugo - They have probably nearly all rusted away now!!!

Actually Rich if you look back on the thread it was me lol

Does anyone else remember the Sam Fox adverts in the 80s though?

PS I did a google and even these buggers have a owners club!!! (http://www.zastava-yugo.co.uk) though I can't actually get it to load which may say something about the reliability of the cars!

To answer a previous question of mine - are there any cars that were so crap that there is no owners club?

dicky

I like threads like this but maybe another thread should be made where we can upload pictures of such cars if we still own them....?

For example, aside my 300 and 350 (both cool) i have one vehicle in my fleet that may remove all my cool points.... you make the thread and ill post the pics! :D

My mother's side of the family is Hungarian and whenever we went over there when it was still a communist state (in the late 80s/and early 90s), all you'd see on the roads were Wartburgs, Ladas, Skodas, Trabants and all manner of nasty hateful eastern bloc / Russian nasties. Quite different over there now though, although you still see some of them about.

Seen quite a few Trabants in Cuba.

Alan......

A car my grandad used to have, wayyyyyyyyy before I was alive
