Im board of having no money, so instead of worrying about it, im thinking of what i'll buy when i get some money.

I want something silly fast.

Im thinking of GTR's or Evo's...

What can you buy, £5000 or so that crazy fast, or can be made to go crazy fast easy enough??

wrx are quick but u need some deep pockets to tune those up because there so highly tuned from the factory, gtr's on the other hand were actually detuned from factory and the drive train can handle 800hp as standard!!! well appart from the clutch obv which means you can spend all your hard earned reddys on tuning the thing!!!

you can tune anything to make it fast, i have a mate running an Ek9 civic. ( peice of shite to us ) but forged motor and turbo charged making over 550whp....... he was at TOTB this year. and won most races.

Skyline im thinking is the way forward.

Got an itch for a high powered Evo tho too..

I keep telling you, it's not the BHP, it's the torque. Without the torque, forget the BHP all together, you could have something at 600 BHP get beaten by something that's 400 BHP and is the same weight, but with shit tonnes of torque!!!! This is why I have always said BHP figures are *****cks. Besides that, the GTR puts ALL of it's BHP and torque into the ground perfectly, even in the wet, hence stomach meeting spine moments :D You know you want one!

Evo? My, according to you not fast enough, 450bhp GTR whiped the floor with an alleged 700bhp EVO, he was also showing off, spitting these pissy little rally pop flames out of his exhaust, as I screamed past him I changed gear and spat out my usual 4 foot flame that lasted until I hit the gas again. Let's say when it was over, he sold the Evo and bought an R32 :D

oit ive got a turbo civic!! lol its my toy, yea u CAN make anything fast you could put an audi v10 in a clio but itd cost a fortune, if id put the cash that id put in the civic into a gtr id b making a lot more power than i do from the 2ltr honda block but i wanted something more 1 off but it looks like its not such a 1 off now lol

You know what, you're a ****! You've got me wanting another R32 again now, it's gunna take me days to convince myself there is no way I can afford to run it!!! THANKS!

you sure.... didnt you see Iftys spinning up all 4 wheels in the dry at Z world on sat in 1st and 2nd gear:drool:

650hp tho :scooter:

Yeah that just wasn't right at all tbh, but then his is over 650 BHP and he's obviously not done anything with the suspension etc. Plus it was dampish tarmac, plus cold, plus no idea how good his tyres are, PLUS he wasn't even trying to keep the power down, he was just flooring one pedal and coming off the other, lol.

By done nothing with, I mean if he has done all the adjustable stuff, it's obviously not quite sat right, because they usually put the power down a LOT better than that.

thing was a monster. next time we meet me and him gonna have a showdown.

He'll win!

lol yep, but by how much?????? 650hp skyline against 500hp Z ???

rolling start would prob be closer than ud think, off the line on the other hand 500rwhp vs 650awhp i think hes got it in the bag tbh lol

have to be a rolling start as 4wd would be too kick ass if stationary, but from 40 onwards... something id like to see, as i know 4wd suffer from drive train loss quite heavily. im sure he'd win with more power and longer power band, but again, by how much??? :-)

Dude I can't even do a rolling start on mine and keep the power to the ground, it lights up in first and second, rolling or not, the second those turbos kick in, my rear wheels are-a-spinnin. The GTR would EAT a Z any day in a straight race. You might beat him on a track, through skill and endurance, but in a straight 1/4 mile race, you'd get trounced and have your tongue handed back to you :D

only one way to find out... pod anyone??? lol

hollowpoint, we said rolling start, and i never said id win. ive had races with mustangs supras and a (cadallac ctsv 550hp 550lb/ft standard) and suprised myself, but then the weight was in my favour...

dont know the skyline weight, but done a few 400hp liners quite easily before. but never had a play with a 500hp + skyline, so i do entertain the challenge.

as for your spinning, god knows, you do say it quite alot, may be down to suspension/ tyre and wheel combination. most folk with your power stage are ok for traction....

ive even seen bobgenie launch his 660 rwhp monster without spinning 1st/2nd gears so its not the power/ torque thats your problem

Also remember, TORQUE, he has a straight 6 twin turbo, you have a V6 twin turbo, the difference in the power delivery is just insane. People ask me the difference between the Z and the GTR all the time, and I always say, one is not better than the other, they are just completely different animals. His GTR specifically, is a monster and I seriously doubt ANY Z I've seen would get near it tbh. As I said, on a track, maybe different (Although he doesn't seem to worried about taking risks ;)), but in shear power delivery, you'd be miles behind him sorry bud :(

I thought I'd better add to this, since everyone is gunna be like "Why don't you **** off and get another GTR" lol, when I had the GTR, I found myself driving Roses Celica more often than the GTR, because the GTR was just TOO brutal to drive all the time. If I had a Z and a GTR next to each other, as much as I LOVED my GTR and as much as I miss it, I'd probably end up in the Z more than the GTR. Hence me still having the Z :D

pod is 1/4 mile mate. so standing start

My wheel spinning is still a mystery to me, I've had three different sets of suspension on it, 2 different sets of tyres, I've tried slipping the clutch in, dropping the clutch etc. but when it even does it whilst it's in motion and has traction but then loses it, **** knows. Remember, there's a BIG difference between Skyline, and GTR. I had a 400bhp GTS-T as well and it was NOTHING compared to the GTR with only slightly more power.

his is single turbo, i get what your saying, but have you been in a 500 hp Z32 ????

i think it may be your wheels mate. as i rember when changing my alloys for some of my other sets, the car gets nearly undriveable as they're lightweight and spin very easily.

stock wheels. were a joke.

put 17s on and in 2nd and 3rd they would spin up once boost kicked in as you say

put 18s on and they were better

put heavy rays on, No wheelspin.

all with good tyres, you'd be suprised at the weight difference and as we all know unspring mass is very important.

No, but I can only imagine it doesn't put the power down well unless you baby the turbos in, his isn't single turbo, he was talking to Jimmer about it, it's still twin turbo.

Just for the sake of it, my GTS-T:

Whilst I get what you're saying, the GTR had 17" Enkei lightweight Race Alloys, I could lift them with my index finger, even with tyres on, lol. The Z wheels are quite heavy tbh. I have one theory left, which is that my bushes are shot in my subframe, so I'm going for all poly bushed and all adjustable, all round.

oh right, thought he told me otherwise, cheers.

love the GTR, wanted on before the 300ZX but was put off by the ugly interior. but power wise. LOVE THEM.

im too into drift to have 4wd, yes they are immese and grip like fark, but less fun. and more about fundimentals.
