I've got a loan that I took out in 2004 that I think may be "unenforceable" has anybody got any info on how you go about finding this out? There seems to be loads of websites to help but they all look a bit dodgy to me (being a finacial ludite).

It goes against my grain as I always pay my debts but this loan is dragging me under.

Any help or advice would be very much appriciated.

I had a loan through GE money against my previous house for £20k, after 3 years of paying it every month, i owed over £25k and i thought why did i bother:hammer: at the time i guess i had a use for it, but for an amount of money that lasted a month i would be expected to spend the next 25 years paying off.

Long story short, talk to a solicitor, mine was a mis sold loan and had the whole lot wiped off

groover im in the same boat as you had a loan from ge money for 2.5k ended up paying just over 7.4k in intrest n ppi(witch i didnt agree too honstly) had to got to the c.a.b just waighting for the 3.5k back any way my problem was santandair bought GE money over so when it came to the crunch the supposedly had no deatails of my loan
