Does anyboday have any experience with these?

I've ordered a new tranny van. I want bluetooth so that the guys wont be using their phones whilst driving. Ford have given us December as a delivery date but can offer one earlier with a Parrot hands free. Are these good? Should i just hold off until December?

Thanks

We use Parrot as an aftermarket phone fit all the time on Mercs for people that dont want to retro fit a factory system (expensive!)

good kit & a whole range of models including ipod integration if you want it!! :)

Which model will it come with?? most popular is the CK3100 but the best one is the MKI9200 which is the ipod comp one with removable screen

Gosh theyre expensive still those parrot kits!

I would recommend something this this:

Soooooo much easier to fit than the parrot kit. I had a parrot kit before and it didnt make it intact to the second car it went in, the wires were way too flimsy.

If you can find a reasonably priced Kenwood stereo with it all built in, thats the way to go imo.

I have it in my car and adore it.

I disagree, granted if your heavy handed the pins in the ISO connections used to come out easy but this has been resolved, Very easy to fit very reliable and software upgradeable.

Id go parrot all the way, oh and by the way Sony, kenwood, clarion, JVC all use Parrot bluetooth hardware in their stereos anyway.

I'm not sure which model they have offered. I'll check with Ford.

Fitting wont be an issue as it will be factory fitted. My main concern was that i have used loads of hands free and found 95% of them to be crap. The new ford bluetooth seems a lot better than old models.

Is the Parrot completely hands free? ie, you dont have to pick up the phone to call a number etc?

yes completely handsfree you can dial via voice activation or by the buttons on the screen, these are the best kits on the market for bluetooth compatibility. like I said Ive sold them and fitted them for years used to work for a carkit reseller selling all brands of carkit and parrot are by far the best.

ok, cheers for that. So if i get back to Ford, what model should i be looking for?

Do you think this is a better option than factory, integrated bluetooth?

Personally Yes I think its much better then the factory options as fords BT only works with certain phones and very little are newer smart phones. I would be looking for a CK3100 at least. best bet ask what its got and let me know chap, either way I still have trade contacts I can put anyone intouch with to get them supplied and fitted.

Fair enough. I didnt have problems with the connectors

I have had a CK3100 for over a year now and it is brilliant.

Crystal clear communication both ends and there are no wires on show

and NO drilling required

I would highly reccommend parrots we have them at work and they are easily updateable for new phones etc, my boss had a one with his range rover built in from landrover and new windows phones and blackberrys just dont work with it! weve tried updating that and allsorts, call quality on them is brilliant!

Had one on the volvo a few years back, and currently got a second hand e bay job on the Z. Good piece of kit and easy to use.

Pretty simple to fit as well if you don't want to pay for the garage to do it.
