Name that film

Having watched Crimson Tide the other night......

 

There was a film a few years ago with much the same arguement between the captain and his XO about torpedoing a Russian nuclear sub that surfaced with its missile hatches open

 

It turned out the sub was on fire and he then dived with the hatches open to extinguish the fire

 

Don't think it was Red October but I can't think what it was called

    It was a TV film called Hostile Waters.....

    remember that TV Film/Drama where the sub was haunted of something like that. Think David Jason was in it. Was on Itv a few years back shown over 2 days
