Advice on painting wheels

Gonna be painting the MR2 wheels this week hopefully just wondering where folks get their paint etc. and any tips on preparing them? Gonna go for a gunmetal grey metallic colour I think if I can find some :)

They are white just now and looks like a home job of painting them!
