My anytime hasn't updated in 2 days. Is it just me or has anybody else had this?

Not heard of it?!!! but slightly off topic my Sky hd box in the bedroom constantly has the hard drive whirring!!! so at 3am when it gets annoying i turn it off at the plug it takes ages to come back on the next day.... i can press the button on the remote 100+ times and the bloody thing wont start up???? any suggestions?!!!

lol. That's sky anytime downloading stuff to your harddisk. Mine honks just before it starts. lol

i dont use anytime so couldent tell ya. and daz ya box is fecked. lol

my box is silent all the time. no honks or whizzing noises? i do have anytime aswell.

Its wierd!!! we had a lads night in at my mates last year and for a laugh we phoned some fit bird on 911!!! it must go to another video stream as we saw everything!!! and I mean everything!! gash the lot!! we were all amazed as you can watch them channels all night hoping for a slip of the hand and nothing,,, so get it rang Mikey

Turn the power of at the mains, hold down the back up button on the box and turn the mains back on. Wait and all the light on the front will come on. Leave it for 20 mins

also when you unplug a sky box from the mains then plug it back in it will do a self test can take up to 2 mins. would not bother keep pressing the remote.

 

And for the the noise its the crap hard drives in them. Easy fix but a new hard drive undo the sky+ box and fit new hard drive. Takes 5 mins.

Cheers, I've done the power on backup thingy but no different. I'll see if it updates tonight.

 

What HD would you recommend and is there a max size that the box can use?

turn it off and on,a reboot normally sorts it, i have hd in the living room and basic sky in the bedroomand that thing sound slike a helicopter landing lol

you didnt say it wipes the hard drive and looses all my films/programs :sad::cry: oh well, sorted anyway, thanks
