So following the very successful Zedworld bash (thanks for all who came) we thought it is time to look towards the forum regional meets.

MEET & RIDE

So what we are have in mind is “Meet and ride” days rather than meet in a pub car park, annoy the locals and landlord and bugger off freezing cold 5 hours later.

So by Meet and Ride what we have in mind is a series of monthly meets where we will meet at a suitable designated point for the usual putting faces to names etc. and them say a 30 minute drive in a fun convoy (no racing) to a second pre-arranged location which is good for photo's etc., we will post up the pics of each meet and will do small prizes for a monthly pics vote after each meet.

This formula should give a good mix of chat, drive and opportunities to show off your zed and maybe your car cleaning prowess, also by keeping the meets around 4 hours or so its less likely to kill a whole day off so keeping wife's, girlfriends, partners happy too. picnic snacks would be a good idea especially as it keeps the spends real too rather than pub grub.

Ok I have located several meet points to try and cover the area equally, I have worked out many of the “ride” routes & pic location, I will post up these in the next week or so as soon as I have them in a nice format to put up here.

So once all done I will post all the dates in one thread and will also post a reminder thread a week or so before each meet, will most likely not ask for names as that format is less likely to work on small regional meets, one point though is this is only going to work if you guys join in.

Will keep you posted very soon.

Sounds great Jeff. I did a couple of these 'driveouts' with the Alfa 155 owners club and they always made for a good day out and were generally more fun than just meeting in a car park.

Watching this space with interest :)
