wow total shock!!

mondeo went straight through M.O.T :shock::shock:

last year had advisory on 1 of the wishbones. this year no mention of it :confused:

but i bought 2 wishbones,2 brake discs and pads so i am now going out to fit them anyway:drool:

so if nobody hears from me at all today then please come round cos probably got me belly stuck under the car :lol::lol:

Crank back from OCS and happy to report she’s straight as an arrow with less that 1 micron of runout.
went with Torco MPZ assembly lube after numerous recommendations from engine builder friends of mine.

Main bearing clearances came up nice and even at 0.0026” give or take a couple of ten thousandths, and the crank spins over nice and smooth

Also start to attach all the auxiliary hoses like the water pipes and vac pipes.
However thinking this would be simple would be wrong; things have been scattered over the years and a few of the pipes are missing.
So thought i'll crack on to the plenum so i fitted the fuel rail down nice and snug.
Next issue we have - Spark plugs - no-where to be found !!
So looks like i'm building another list of parts thats needed.

Back to work on the zed this morning and all was going well until i discovered that the stock intake turbo pipes wont fit with the oem heat sheilds.
appears the clearance isnt there so i had to take them back off .
