Hmmmm could have sworn I'd replied to this earlier!

:smw: Ok perhaps it was a bit off topic but was meant in jest, and seeing as you are probably the most consistent at being off topic, I think it was a bit rich deleting it. :nono:

i wasnt getting at anyone, i want to get it sorted, i didnt just delete you, i keep peoples threads on topic

i am not the most consistent at being off topic, i always get at other people for doing that

The left mouse key aint working but I see the humour delete button is. are all threads that go off topic going to be moderated now

ffs people wind ya necks in, i posted a prob that needed sorting, since when did i come onto your posts changing the subject to something totally irrelevent, i changed the sig as it was a bit of banter and it wasnt really appropriate for the forum

keep on topic please, i have plenty of other threads where you's can take the piss to your hearts content

i am but when i quietly delete something to keep it on topic then get a load of snide digs i dont like it, i have banter all the time, there is no need to go getting offencive about it

have you got a USB or PS/2 mouse you could try? I've never got on with the touch pads cos they're far too temperamental for me.

no mate, ive only ever used the touchpad, had this lappy for some time now with no probs, it never gradually slowed it just stopped, have scanned hundreds of google threads but to no avail, i can still navigate the cursor just not use the left click or double click facility, quite annoying once you have been used to it lol

Sounds like it's on it's way out mate. Get yourself a usb mouse from ebay. Should only cost you a couple of quid. Windows should automatically detect it.

There's sometimes a button on your keyboard that disables the touch pad, if you have the manual have a look, or see if there is something obvious on the keyboard

cheer mate, i may have pressed a few buttons when it froze, seems strange that i can still use the touchpad to move the cursor but not to double click

Try doing a 'system restore' to when you know it worked ok. Is the let click a button or by tapping the mousepad? If it's a button, the switch under it may have failed or have a dry joint on the circuit board.

If it's virtual (tapping of the pad) that doesn't now work, then there will be adjustments in the properties of the mouse in the control panel.

The system restore will put it right if it's been disabled.

its the tapping of the pad that has suddenly stopped, how do i do a sytem restore
