Guys,

Is it my imagination or is Firefox a quicker application than Internet Explorer? I had been having problems with explorer, where pages sometimes would stop responding, so I started using Firefox today and I am well impressed so far. Appears to be quicker.

hotmail works just fine in FF..? In fact one of the nice features of the latest live messenger is it will open hotmail in FF if it is your default browser rather than only IE.

 

As for the original question yeah I use FF, only because of the add-ons though. Page loads and general responsiveness is much faster in IE for sure, look and feel of it is much nicer than the rather dated looking Firefox (3rd party skins are all a load of crap too IMO).

you'll find that firefox release 2 is a lot faster than firefox release 3! don't know why but i downgraded back to version 2 as it was taking forever and a day to display webpages, even with my 10mb broadband connection. now back on firefox version 2 and it runs like a whippet on speed!

I have been trying to fix a problem on a laptop, internet explorer wont load any pages. The internet connection works and things like goggle earth load up, I also installed norton 360 and that updated it's self. I tried putting on firefox and the one Kim said about and still have the same problems. The laptop also seams really slow, is the same spec as the one I'm using but it's so slow! It connects to the internet by a dongle (3 network)

Any ideas, I was wondering about wiping it and installing windows again. how do I get a copy of vista, as all my computers didn't come with it on a disk??
