I have a 2001 Mercedes S320L cdi, and sometimes when i take my foot off the accelerator there is a wastegate chatter noise.

 

The car dosnt always do it and only seems to when its boosting high or when the engine is hot.

 

My Mercedes Benz dealer have replaced two hoses on the intercooler, two leaky injectors, and repaired a blow on the exhaust next to the turbo. However, the noise is still there.

 

They said they will investigate it further on Monday. Does anybody here have any ideas as to what it could be? And most importantly, whether or not you think it may cause damage to anything.

cheers, I already got it up on there, and benzworld but no one knows...was hoping all the turbo nuts on here might have an idea
