If anyonhe is in the Derby area and nothign to do I hear that there is a get together of performance cars starting at the Stenson Bubble Inn, Stenson, south of Derby at 7pm onwards. Directions: A38 then onto B5008 to Willington, A5132 past power station turn left to a T-junction. Turn right at the T jucntion and then left over a railway bridge and pub is ahead. The 200+ club organiser Chris Mann has advised me that an event is arranged for Thursday 23rd May at Elvington airfield nr York. There will be timed 1/4s and top speed runs on the 2 mile main runway. I am already on the list to go and so far there will be a few 4-500bhp cars coming along, (tuned 300zx, cossy, skyline), plus some fast bikes. Cost is £70 paid on the gate for the full day and this includes some lunch/drinks etc. and is now being made open to anybody. Passenger rides and spectating are all f.o.c. Hi All, Anyone interested in a trip to the 'ring on 28th/29th June? There is a couple of us going already, and wondered if anyone else was interested in joining us. Hello Leigh, Just bought some R33 brakes from a 600 BHP skyline owner, he took me for a spin in it and it was like the world was moving in Fast Forward, no word of a lie. Anyway having a chat with him and told him about the Slough meet we had and he was very keen to meet up with everyone. He said he knew 4 or 5 skyline owners that would be there at a drop of a hat, because there forum isn't as big as ours. Seemed like a nice bloke with a genuine interest in Jap Performance cars. If you or anybody fancies organising another one or I'll do it if needs be, then I am Game. all the best. Mark

Any of you guys up for this, they will be a drag race comp and a drag/SPL competition as well.

Another event being organised by the 200+ club is a drag competition for the top ten cars from each major car club or group to go head-to-head. It will be held at Elvington Airfield nr York on Sunday 4th August 2002. So far there are entrants from the following: Vipers, Porsche 911, TVR, GtiR, Skyline, NobleM12, Supra, Rovers, Cossies, Celicas, Elises, Impreza and Evo, but no 300's are on the list yet. If mine was giving good times I would have put my name down but 14.0s is not good enough against this company.
