As part of my ongoing crap financial situation, I can no longer afford to buy these up from JDS-Z. He's got a set of fronts made up for me, but like I say I just havn't got the money to buy them, extremely poor right now :( So if you want them please let him know. So not only could I not get my wheels and tyres, now I can't get the HID conversion or even these mats  Ah well, shit happens for a reason I suppose, here's to 2006

well after the fun I had after Christmas (See here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=42841) have now had the unofficial report from the "garage" that did the h/g back in September. :headvswal they have said that they have checked the h/g's and they are ok. The reason my car cooked itself in the space of minutes was because I had an airlock in the rad.....wtf!!!!!!!! Before I left my parents place I took 20 minutes making sure that all the levels were fine so how do you mysteriously get an airlock while you are driving? They have also said that the big end has gone!! (was ok before) To add insult to injury one of the partners is saying that …

Anyone else started building their models yet, i'm kinda hooked again on model building life i used to do before kids came along and time went out the window, I am kinda dissapointed in the Tamiya 300 as I thought the doors would open but they dont, as I wanted to try and super detail the interior with the doors open. Also I have been surfing looking for detail kits/accessories for the kit, to my amazement there are companies making 1/24 scale replica 17/18 inch wheels, body kits for skylines and 350Z's, and even slotted or drilled discs ffs. http://www.scaleautostyle.com body kits http://www.scaleracecars.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Session_ID=abfa4e3…

It came to my attention last night that my profile location and avatar had caused maybe a few people on here offence. I would just like to set the record straight if that's OK with you lot. Right firstly my avatar, incase you're not aware it is the album cover from a Primal Scream album entitled "Kill all Hippies" which in no way (disclaimer) imposes that I would want to kill ALL hippies, maybe just one! It's an in house joke dating back to the dark times when there were South Africans and Island folk inhabiting this BB. I am not going to go into detail about it and drag it all up from the past but it refers to a single ex-member of this board w…

Having Purchased some Replacement Leather Seats, and ditching my Tweed ones, I started on replacing the Tweed Panels with Leather-look Black Vinyl. From this : :hurl: To This :  and from these : :hurl: to this : (one done, minus the door opening lever bit) One more to go....then I got to fit it all back in. Panels were easy, once u get a hang of dealing with the curves, but took a long time....door much harder, and a real pain in the a**e to do. Probably took about 6 hours to do the panels in total, and about 2 hours for the drivers door. 3 Metres of Material and Brush on E…

Sad news. The Avon and Somerset safety camera partnership will be operating 24hrs a day from Monday 10th Jan. Obviously they're going to be alot more difficult to spot at night so be warned everyone form this area! I thought they were supposed to be a visible deterrent to speeding - yeah right!! Do other countys operate at night yet or are we the first here in Somerset?

Well after Tesco almost f*cking up, I finally got my pictures. Excuse the poor quality, they were taken on a disposable. I was actually suprised at how good the car looked - when I got out obviously the door was hanging off and the wheel was sideways in the bulkhead. Somebody has pushed it back into position (sort of), the strut is still attached but all the other connections have been ripped off. Tried to get some pics of this but they have come out blurred. They have also put polythene across where the door glass was and the smashed part of the windscreen which is good as the interior is being kept dry etc. Not been released by the police yet AFAIK, so no offe…

Anyone that knows me will know I recently had quite major surgery carried out on the Z some months back.. T28 BB Turbo’s,Braided Oil feeds,Dump Headers,New Clutch Slave and Master Cylinders,Braided Brake and Fuel Lines,To name but a few… And so the story starts…With the standard turbos and Boost jets I was running 13-14PSI and the car went pretty well…but as usual after a full custom SS exhaust minus cats I got the dreaded oil seal problem and quite bad smoke on tickover.. Hence the above Mods. The car went in to C and S who was instructed to remove the boost jets as I wanted to see how the Z performed with the new Tubs without before I started to play again. …
