:gun_bandana: Yeah your right, i should of removed the engine first then used my fingers to turn the actuator rod, my bad ;) Its such a pain that the drivers side actator is so hrad to get to.

Ok another update. I set the actuators to 16 psi (ish) went for a drive and hey presto it now peaks at 19.4 psi, soooooooo i got back home and set them a little higher. I Can now peak at 21.6psi which was my highest recorded pressure. (Albeit sideways, struggling for traction in 4th gear lol) Im thinking... why do my actuators have to be set so high in order to hit this pressure? surely there is something else wrong or maybe the hks actuator springs just cant hold the exhaust pressure to well? Im thinking of setting them even higher so i have more range as hitting 21 psi requires the ebc to be set at 100% which isnt very practicle when setting my desired pressure. There is not alot more adjustment left on the drivers side actuator and i have kinda screwed up the ending of the thread turning it with long nose plyers, (at least it worked). So il give it another go on the weekend and see how it goes. Can anyone add anything to this thread?

I have no idea at this present time, Try doing some google searching. Like i said they are hard to get hold of, but well worth it. Good luck.

yeah them small calipers get all soaked up in heat, i had that old setup first off and warped/cracked a few discs too.

even with the best quality you still have to treat them right, like i said before you cant just abuse them with out letting them cool down before comeing to a stop they will warp or crack. Its still metal at the end of the day and it can only take certain amount of temperment.

wel maybe not top top quality items, but if the discs and pads have reached say 600-1000degrees and you stop instantly without letting them cool down, im pretty sure they will warp or even crack. Obviously not ceramic discs.

did you stop from 160mph to 0mph then stay stationary till the discs cooled down, as this would warp any disc imo. If the discs are hot and the wheels are stationary the heat soak from the pads will damage the part of the disc its touching. You should drive around for at least 5mins before leavin the car stationary to let them cool down especially without proper brake ducting

if you have trouble removing the rear due to spring tension all you need to do is have someone push down on the hub with their foot while you pop out the shocks very easy.

no no no, you got to check which compound they are, go for either the pf01 or pf06, they might be the old dicontinued compound which i have no info on.

i havent had time to work on the car recently but im prety sure its the actuators, i tested each side and one opens at 14psi the other at about 10psi so they are unbalanced. Will only take a an hour or so to sort it, lets just hope nothing else goes wrong hhaha, oh and cheers for the concern guys :D

erm lots of dust even though they are advertised to give off less, but i think for a race pad they give of less than their rivals, cold they are very good, they heat up quicker and they have ALOT of bite especially when new, after a few heat cylces they take a little longer to heat up but whn cold you can still stop without any hassle. I dont get any noise at all, well not that i can rememeber or that bothered me. Another important thing id like to add about these pads is they last a very long time, i have been to 2 full day track day sessions and driven 2000 on the road with these pads and they still have more than 2 thirds left ;) I can stop from 130mph to 60 5 times in a row and still not sufffer from any fade, infact these pads have never faded ever. not even a bit. The only problem is they are very hard to get hold of and of course quite a penny, my fronts cost me £200 but il never look back. The spl 300zx race car has these pads ;)

yeah i got all my old 2.5 inch i could prob do the rears or make some ducting to the turbo housing or somthing, i have not decided yet.
