Happy Friday all!

I've finally started work on my Zed! It has sat in my garage since 2013 with only a couple of engine warm ups. The last time I turned her over was July 2023 when I discovered that my braided fuel lines had started to perish and were pissing fuel all over the engine bay. Fuel lines have now been replaced along with a new battery, oil, coolant and fuel. Pleased to report she's now starting up and idling fairly well.

However, I went to move her out of the garage for the first time today and was unable to engage reverse gear. Clutch pedal feels ok but there's more travel than I remember before it hits resistance. I've found that I can get the car in gear with the engine off, but not when it's running. An RPS Twin turbo MAX Street Clutch was fitted around 800 miles ago (in 2009!). Assuming this points to slave cylinder, but would welcome any suggestions before I start heading off down a blind alley!

Update - left it for a while and pumped the clutch repeatedly to get the pressure back up. Now changing into all gears again 🥰

Next job is to swap out the instrument cluster for a new one and prep it for an MOT.

Then I'll just need to remember how to drive a manual again! 😂

I had a similar problem and solved it with a piece of 4 x 2 held in place by the seat overnight to depress the clutch, May have been an old wives tale to bleed the system but it worked for me
